To treat epilepsy depends on how serious it is, a person can go on a special diet, take medication or have surgery to help with his/her epilepsy. When taking medication, doctors prescribe the individual with either a poly therapy (one type of drug) or mono therapy (mixed or different drugs) depending on what kind of epilepsy they have. Doctors usually prescribe Anticonvulsant drugs to the patient. The patient must follow their prescription that they are given.
